Product Overview

Melinda's Scorpion Pepper Hot Sauce (5oz./148ml):

Melindas Original Scorpion Pepper Sauce takes the scorpion pepper and couples it with their vegetable-base to balance the heat and flavor; however, that is a tall order with the savage heat of this unruly, sinister pepper. The Trinidad Scorpion Chile Pepper gets its name because it has a tail that looks like a stinger and a burn that feels like one. At over 2 million Scoville units, the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion is one of the world's hottest peppers.
All-Natural with fresh ingredients. No Artificial Preservatives or Colors, Gluten Free, no GMOs, Kosher, No High Fructose Corn Syrup

Ingredients: Trinidad Moruga Scorpion Peppers, fresh carrots,. onions, lime juice, vinegar, garlic, salt.

    could be hotter

This sauce tastes good, but they overcompensated the heat factor and in my humble opinion they diluted it a bit more then they should have. They brag a whopping 2 mill. SHU's, but it isn't even close with all the other ingredients they added to so-call "balance it out." If it were hotter as it is tasty I would have definitely given it 5 stars.

All the great flavor but a whole lot more heat.

Take classic recipe for Melinda's habanero carrot sauce and replace the habaneros with much hotter Trinidad Moruga Scorpion peppers and you have Melinda's Scorpion pepper sauce. This stuff is hot, and also very good tasting. If you like the classic Melinda's recipe, it's safe bet you will like this. The overall flavor is a little different -- it tastes like Trinidad Moruga Scorpions rather than habaneros, but this mix works just as well.
