Historic Lynchburg Tennessee Whiskey Steak and Burger Seasoning (6 OZ. / 170 g):
The old folks of Lynchburg have been using seasonings and rubs to enhance the flaor of their meats since before the turn of the century. For a little extra flavor, they decided to add a little of their local Tennessee Whiskey. For best results sprinkle liberally on meat several hours before cooking. This will allow the flavors to seep into the meat. Since it is sugar-free it is great for grilling directly over hot coals. Have been using this product for about seven years. I have never found anything to match. Use it on my tenderloins every time I BBQ. The flavoring in the salt are perfect for steaks and for hamburgers. I usually order six bottles at a time to save on shipping.

If you were stranded on a desert island and could only bring one spice - this would be it! Not only is it excellent on steak and burgers(and chicken), but it is TO DIE FOR on salmon! Recently used it on a bagel with cream cheese when an everything bagel was not available. Have been using for years since the lucky day my daughter brought me one from a Tennessee airport. Can't ever be without it.

For financial reasons my daughter and I have tried to duplicate this spice. We both use it as is, and use a pepper mill to powder it. We didn't even come close to a duplicate. When your two oldest children are 49 and 50 and impossible to buy for, why not a years supply of a spice they love.
